Dr. Richard de Brabander (1964) studied philosophy at the Erasmus University Rotterdam and science of literature at the University of Leiden. He took his PhD at the University of Amsterdam for his study Commitment in mirror writing. Confronting Blanchot and Derrida (2003). His research focusses at the relation between literature, politics and philosophy. His publications include articles on this subject in the work of Deleuze, Sartre, Blanchot, Derrida and Badiou. He is editor of the forthcoming Alain Badiou. Een revolutionair denker (Ten Have, September 2006), the first introduction of this French philosopher in the Dutch language. His book on human ideas for social workers is forthcoming from Coutinho Press.
