Aim of the seminar

innovative research and debate.
The ESSSO is a research seminar centred round the scholarly debate. It focusses on a specific line of research of a well-known researcher. This year this is Slavoj Zizek’s research. In order to explore the selected topic extensively and to enhance the debate between the invited guests and the other participants of the seminar at least two plenary debates per day are scheduled.

Topic

Focussing on the works of Slavoj Zizek the lecturers reflect upon recent developments in political and media theory in order to enhance the idea of social ontology. Special attention is given to the ideas of Gilles Deleuze on politics and the in between.
